“When I hit a rough patch in my attempts to re-learn piano after 30 years, I tried a few different teachers before settling on Emily as my instructor. I decided on Emily because she seemed to be the most willing to tailor the lessons to my strengths, weaknesses, and musical interests. I'm so glad I did because she has taken the time to give me exercises that are filling in the gaps in my knowledge without making me work on things that I'm already capable of doing. I feel like she's helping me find the shortest path to playing the music that I'm interested in playing rather than just taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
In addition, she maintains excellent notes on the student portal so if I forget what I'm working on or whether or not I've paid I can quickly log in to see all the relevant details from my last lesson. The combination of a personalized approach with an organized place for everything we're working on has been extremely helpful.
